A Trusted Orthodontist in Modesto

Dr. Phillip Ha was born in Los Angeles and grew up in San Gabriel, CA. During high school, he went on a dental mission trip to Costa Rica, where he saw the positive impact dentistry could have on people’s lives and was moved to pursue dentistry as a career.

Like many other orthodontists, he had braces himself. After experiencing a boost in confidence and happiness after his treatment, which inspired him to become an orthodontist. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Pacific Union College.

He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University after four years of training, then completed an additional two and half years of orthodontic training, where he earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science degree in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics.

He then took the extra step to become a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. After finishing his orthodontic training, he married his best friend and wonderful wife, Rachel, and moved up to her hometown of Lodi.

Dr. Ha believes there is no better profession than orthodontics and absolutely loves what he does and the patients he serves. He knows how life-changing orthodontic treatment can be, and he strives to provide others with that same experience.

Dr. Ha feels a deep sense of fulfillment and satisfaction from the relationships he builds with his patients, the ability to change someone’s life for the better, and the chance to give them confidence through a beautiful, healthy smile.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, as well as eating great food, exercising, listening to podcasts, watching Netflix shows and YouTube, and playing video games. He also loves watching and playing sports like golf, volleyball, basketball, and pickleball.

Modesto Invisalign

Invisalign is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists in Modesto and is the top alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets and bands, the Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth.

Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and customized to fit snugly over your teeth. To keep your teeth moving in the direction you want them to, you’ll need to switch your invisible trays out for the next one in the series every one to two weeks as directed by Dr. Ha.

The Invisalign system can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly! Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment. If patients neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.

Invisalign is at its most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, Invisalign may not be a good option. A free consultation with Dr. Ha at Rise Orthodontics in Modesto will allow us to determine your eligibility for Invisalign.

Modesto Braces

Braces in Modesto are an excellent choice for correcting complex tooth issues. Since they can sometimes work faster at aligning teeth and closing gaps than other treatments might, overall treatment time may be slightly reduced.

Braces don’t require some of the more complex technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can, meaning Modesto braces are a cost-effective orthodontic option.

Traditional metal braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. They’re made out of metal or ceramic brackets that are affixed to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics.

These brackets, wires, and bands work together to apply the gentle pressure that will gradually move the teeth into the positions we want them to be in as long as you have regular adjustments with our doctors.
